Day 3

We left Bruges at 8:30 with many a sore head today.

What we thought would be an easy flat ride turned out to be a fast paced chase for 90 miles. We finally arrived early at Rotterdam around 4pm. We are now sitting in the bar all monged out!!

Today’s rider of the day was difficult. Josh fell off yet again and we are now thinking he thinks he will get an award for falling off the most times. However Chris Ellis stole the show after driving into Rider of Day 2 Alex at a junction after kindly asking his twin brother Frosty to move to one side. 

Day 2

We left Calais at 8 and set off on our journey to Bruges. After 40 miles we crossed into Belgium and rode the canal paths all the way to Bruges. No hills today so plenty of sore arses instead. 

Dinner tonight was a lovely Italian followed by a nice couple of beers in Bruges town. Only problem we had was taking Bushell with us and forcing us to stay out. 

Two falls today with Josh keeping his daily record up smashing into the ground at high speed but rider of he day goes to Alex after leading the group into Bruges city and then falling of at the gates to the city. 

Day 1

We left Blackheath about 8 and headed East through beautiful parts of South London towards the garden of England. 

Many hills were climbed at various speeds but everyone gave their all and reached the lunch point 42 miles on at Faversham. Tom the team leader laid on a fantastic lunch which everyone devoured only to the start the afternoon session fully loaded and with the toughest climbs of the trip to come. 

Anyway we soon burned off lunch and all made it to Dover at 4pm an hour ahead of schedule. 

Rider of the day goes to Josh Ballard who tried unsuccessfully to put his chain back on whilst riding along and ended up head first into a nettle bush. 

We have now settled down in a lovely little hotel with a great restaurant!!!!
